The employees were knocked to the ground, together suffering a dislocated/fractured elbow, a forehead laceration, and a dislocated/fractured toe. They were hospitalized.

An employee was up on an I-beam, tied off to set a long span joist on the wide flange beam. As the joist was coming up into position, it got close to his foot. The bottom flange of the I-beam then severed the retractable and the employee fell approximately 10 feet onto the sand/concrete floor. He fractured his left wrist and was hospitalized.
